Halloween

I've loved making Halloween cards so I'm so pleased that the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge is for Halloween and a perfect day for it too.
I shall miss making spiders with wobbly eyes and the drippy goo punch and the cute PB stamp shall have to go back in its drawer until next year.
We fly back tonight and if I have a window seat I shall be looking out for witches and broomsticks.

More Birthday Cards

These are some cards my Sis and my DD made for Hubby and me for our Birthdays.
The first two are the ones my DD gave us. She scrapbooks rather than card making but she's got her hands on some copics and when she feels a bit crafty, a card is quicker than a layout, she still makes a huge mess and borrows most of my glue, tape and anything she can get hands on without me knowing.

The two above are from Sis to us and the ones below are from my Mum but made by Sis. Mum's cards are generally very busy but thats how Mum like them.

Santa Tower

Why have one Santa when you can have three. The High Hopes Santa's just cried out for them to be made into a tower. Yes those papers are Pebbles and I need a visit to the Glitter Pot to get some more.
I've used the icicle punch from Martha Stewart and its all been glamour dusted but of course the camera is rubbish at taking sparkling photos.
Hope you haven't missed me too much, back soon

All that Sparkles

I really didn't think I would get my DT card done for this week but I noticed that Simon Says Stamps do sell nestabilities and they do have the Create Snowflake set 1 and I need some quick cards for Christmas.
Boy were these quick, the papers are Bo Bunny and I need some more, the snowflakes were glamourised with sparkle and the sentiment is Penny Black.
Now I wonder which one you prefer.

Secret Project

My secret project has been a 8inch mini book for Pilar of the photos taken of her Birthday surprise. I've used Cosmo Cricket Happily Ever After throughout the book and most of the embellished are punch borders either Martha Stewart or Fiskars. I've used various punches for the flowers. Titles are all cut out by the Cricut using Storybook my fave font.

This is just a few pages the whole book can be viewed on my other blog here.

What More Mice

Oh no not more mice, yes I'm afraid so. I didn't realise how big this stamp is and when I coloured it to match the scraps of Pebbles paper didn't realise it would take over the card, unfortunately I didn't have enough scraps for make a large card.
That Pebbles paper has been brilliant for Men's card but its all gone. This zigzag MS punch is starting to top my favourite list it works so well not only on cards but I've been using it a lot scrapbooking too.
I think I need to give you a break from mice but you know how they mutiply.

Double thanks to Lynn, she obviously likes me twice as much as everyone else cos she sent me two. Guess I'm not the only one who does daft things.
This fabby House Mouse card is from Lorraine, I really do feel that she has a magic touch with these stamps.
This amazing card is from Kim its gorgeous and the camera doesn't show how wonderful it is.
Oh this cheeky chappie is from Jo King isn't he cute and I love the papers.

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge

There's a great challenge on Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge, to use Orange and another colour, well I used Turquiose and this meant I could use the download Persimmon from Zoe Pearn. But best of all I used this fab Sarah Kay that is still available at Secret Crafter and once again I've used my funky flower punches and the Leone Em punch.
Do hope you join in the challenge.

High Hope Santa

It's been a busy old week and to finish it we should be flying out to Spain this morning but if Mr Blogger behaves I've managed to schedule some posts. Lets hope we arrive in Barcelona with all our luggage this time.
I need Christmas cards or else I could be in trouble come December, this Santa is from High Hopes and the papers are from Pebbles, the poinsettias are from Hobby House and sentiment is a peel off. Loads of Glamour dust too.
Now they do say you shouldn't advertise that you're going on holiday on public blog but my house isn't empty (no parties DD and DS) and there's not much electronics in it I spend far too much on crafty stuff. This bundle of blog candy goodies are from Marianne and I spy some rather cute looking stamps too.

Mouse Alert

So there's a great sketch on A Spoonful of Sugar and those squares are ideal for scraps, bit concerned that in my photo the brown looks black but not a lot I can do about that. The papers are Pebbles and I ran the funky flowers through the cuttlebug, sentiment is Woodware and the little mouse is a Penny Black stamp, my blog seems to be over-run by mice these days.
There's some fabulous candy aroung Blogland the first is from Enfys who has two one for her US friends and one for the UK.
Joanne too has a great candy too.
So an exciting day was had in the Yates household, I'm being sarcastic now because between Hubby and myself we spent most of the day at the Hospital for various tests, not helped by the fact Hubby has toothache and today he's off to have the annoying thing out.

Get Well Soon

The challenge this week at Simon Says Stamps is Get Well and to me a get well card means flowers especially now you not allow them in Hospitals.
So I thought Tilda holding a whole basket of flowers would be perfect and I still had some of this pretty pink and blue papers from Papermania. The sentiment is Simon Says Stamps and MS doily punch for the border.
Don't forget Simon Say Stamps offer a fabulous prize each week of a voucher of $25 and their shop is full of wonderful goodies.

Henry Mouse Pretty in Pink

This Henry mouse is far too cute for his own good and I think by Christmas I will be over-run with them. This card is using the Sketch Saturday sketch for this week, the papers are My Minds Eye, MS icicle punch, snowflakes are punches and an awful lot of glamour dust.
Hubby took me to M&S yesterday and DD wanted to come too so we went after she finished work and decided to take her Sainsburys to give us a hand, she was very excited, when I told her Andrew Murray had just passed us in the aisle.
I behind for one of my DT and I must do that today before anything else.

Mouse Tower

Thank you for the Birthday greetings and I had a fabulous day and after unpacking from the crop I managed a card for the Penny Black Saturday challenge, this week its a sketch. It cried out to me to make a tall card and that would be perfect for this stamp. The paper is Sassafass and I only have this sheet and I've nothing that work with it so used it for all the layers. The flowers again are the Woodware punches, couldn't really do any other flowers cos of the daisies in the paper.
Looks like its going to be a busy week.

Bright Sunny Birthday

The call for Just Magnolia challenge is for bright colours and the brightest colours I have is some K & Co papers, you can't get brighter than these. I followed the Truly Scrumptious sketch but then realised the theme was Autumn well this bright Summer card with its Hot Pinks isn't going to work for that but never mind its a brilliant sketch.
Yes its my birthday, I'm one year older and one year nearer the big 50, off out, for a very late lunch, so not going to cook on my Birthday.

Almost Forgotten

OMG I've had a terrible senior moment, there's me thinking I needed a card for Saturday and I had one waiting in the wings for Secret Crafter Challenge, I probably get the sack. It's such a brilliant challenge, to use one of your old stamps you know the one tucked away and forgotten about because there's so many cute ones on offer today. I got my one of the first Tilda's I ever brought and she is so perfect for layering too. The papers are Cosmo Cricket and I've got my Woodware punch out again for the cream daisys.
Thanks to all who took part in my first challenge last week, absolutely amazing creations and I look forward to checking out as many as I can this week.
I had a really productive day at MJ's all day crop but unfortunately can't show anything yet and MJ looks after us so well.
Loving X factor at the mo, especially when you record it and skip the adverts!
