Isn't she a sweet heart she is called Odette and from Mo Manning don't think I got the colours quite right and the camera has made the papers wishy washy. The sketch is from Papertake Weekly but I seem to have hidden a mat with the ribbon and swirls.
The swirl is in fact a chopped up Magnolia swirl and the sentiment is from LOTV. The corners are cuttlebug and flowers are the funky punch flower from EK success.
I don't know where the time went yesterday but I didn't actually achieve much I think I need to be better organise when crafting in another room but it still was fun crafting and chatting.
Not sure what I'm doing today I might get to see Hubby whose been helping out his BIL who is going away soon and he's list who work has exploded.

Oh pooh I've just noticed I haven't finished the snowflakes, I was in such a hurry to get this card done so I had Penny Black one for today, I forgot. I know its easy remedied but I've put away the tripod to make room for the dining room table to be pulled out. I'm having some friends round for some craft and chat.
Guess  you're going to have to imagine a gem on the snowflakes and a touch of stickles.
I may have to make more cards like this, the square are the scraplings left after I make a square card from an A4 piece. That are embossed then cut into squares even the borders strip is using those bits too and of course Snowy is so easy to colour and layer.
Well fingers crossed I shall get to make some Christmas Cards today.

I've still got a few more Stampin Up posts from all the cards I made a couple a weeks ago. when I saw someone on Pinterest made Handbags with the tab punch I had to have a go.
Unfortunately the punch has been retired. The colours were used because I only had pink ribbon and I chose to make different handles cos I thought that would be cute.

I've had my Owl punch for soooooo long but its never been used so again Pinterest inspired me to have a go. The flower is different but I think this ones OK and I used yellow because I had a scrap of it that worked.

I confess I wasn't in the mood to trail through the previous challenges to join Less is More, my head just wasn't in the right place. I've done it before and all kinds of ideas popped into my head but not this week. But I had some new exclusive dies from Simon Says Stamps and when I opened my parcel and saw the Where the Heart is set and saw what should be windows I saw Flowerpots!
I thought it was brilliant that you had three windows/flowerpots so they could all be cut at the same time.
Of course you have to have flowers in your pots so I cut down the Meadow Rue to fit.
I also have the Asbsolute stamp and die set  I just continue the strip to give my flower pots an edge to sit on.
Now to stick the word down I used an Xyron which I find very handy for sticking handmade titles for scrapbooking pages but also anything fiddly to stick and if I didn't layer like I do I would even use it on flowerpots.
A tip when using the Xyron once you've run through whatever you want to stick take an embossing tool and run it around the edges and any bits inside the shape leaves a cleaner finish.
I really loved how this work but I find things I really like other don't and things I think are not so good people love!

Everything Eleanor

The idea for Nikki's Stampin Up Open day was for me to demo Everything Eleanor so I made a couple of cards to show while making others. Although not very clear I used Glossy Accents on the stamens in the flower heads.
Very simply made and terrible sentiment stamping!

This is the one I made on the day and the only one cos I played with my new stamps instead!

Wedding Scrapbooking

These are few Scrapbooking pages that I need to upload and it will be a while before I get to do some more done. I making Christmas cards yes I know its only September but I've always wanted to Journal Christmas by Shimelle but the cards always got in the way so this year they well be done.

These are all of Lou's Wedding still have a few to do before the Album is finished and then it will be my Birthday Album which will only be a couple years late.

Hopefully Blogger will let you make this larger so you read the reason for my title.
I really didn't know what to add to a page full of men its worst than making cards for them.

Winter Fairy

I love the Winter Fairies by Mo Manning and this one is called Winter Fairy Talva and I love that she makes my card so beautiful.
The papers are Nitwits possibly Mr & Mrs but please don't hold me to that. The punches are of course my favourite Martha Stewart ones with a little do-crafts one for the centres, the holly is Martha Stewart punch too with some tiny pearls for berries.
The wings and snowball I used first with glossy accents and then sprinkle glamour dust over them. Then it was a case of waiting over night to use Flower Soft and Fun Flock for leg warmers, head band and baubles.
I was going to mention the MFT crochet border die round the oval because you're probably fed up with me saying it.

Simon Says Stamps Challenge

It time again for another card for Simon Says Stamps Challenge and this week its nice and easy Anything Goes. The team is show casing October Afternoon products but its not a requirement to join in.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog

Of course some Numpty thought she had some October Afternoon and had to order some, possibly Stamptember wasn't the best time to order with the SSS team so busy but lucky for me it arrived with plenty of time.
With October Afternoon Holiday Style in my hands and it just happened that the Greeting Farm girls were in the parcel and why have one girl when you can two.
The card made itself, I was looking for a background for the girls and decided I wanted the trees in this sheet of paper and then I thought what about the street behind them. So I cut out the circle and matted it but placed it back on the sheet I cut from so I could have the street. It did mean that they're a bit lower on the card than I like but I'm all for compromise.
Yes that is the MFT Crochet Border and the snowflakes are MFT too. Ribbon and Lace to finish, I seemed to have mislaid all my Christmas sentiments but I found the Magnolia one in my Christmas stamp box and decided to use.

So you know the drill there's an amazing prize but you do have to enter to be in with a chance.

Stampin Up Cars

When I demo-ed for Nikki  and made some cards for my table it was only right I made at least a couple of mens cards. So I decided to use my Sister's Stampin up stamps with this car in.
So I stamped a car and on a small scrap of white I stamped another car and decided I needed one more to layer and stamped it alongside when the lightbulb moment popped into my head and used the whole bit of scrap with stamped cars and just coloured in the one in the middle and layered it with another car.
I think it worked out a treat.

This is the card I originally was making, apologies for the awful stamped sentiment. I used the top note die for the main image the white card I cut off round the embossed stitching so I could layer it and then cos it was so large and plain I faux stitched it with a pen.
I had a day off from crafting yesterday had a bit of a sinus problem and I decided it was impossible to make cards with my nose in the air but so far this morning its not so painful.
Look out for my Simon Says Stamps Challenge card post which is at 2pm.

This weeks challenge on Everybody Art Challenge is for Autumn, in my eye thats colours of Red, Yellow, Orange and Brown but I don't like Yellow and Orange much so I decided to go for Red and brown or in my case Kraft.
I also decided or my head did that Autumn means looking out for your coat, scarf and hat cos of the chilly mornings whish is why I decided to use Wininfred  from Mo Manning
But I think it now looks more Christmas than Autumn but the issues last week means if will have to do.
The papers are Kaiser and I had to use my Floral Oval and a Memory box corner along with my favourite Quickutz corners.
The Eleanor flowers from Stamping Up were a bit of experiment and while in real life I'm not keen they photo really well so they will be staying.
Do pop over to challenge blog to check out the team.

Black and Teal Christmas

I have no idea why I think I can push myself to going out All Day for three days and the next day I can carry on as normal so even though I planned to make a DT card and finish off a mini book for my son, I was suppose to photo the card I had for today instead I did nothing.
Lucky for me this sweet little darling was in my drafts almost forgotten but she's here now. I do love using a bit of black when I colour this LOTV image. I believe the blue paper is Nitwits and the dotty black is from Craft Creations.
My favourite border die, snowflake dies both from MFT and a Memory box border die.
So I had a fab day on Friday, I was right there wasn't much there but it was nice to look at different crafts but somehow I managed to buy some dies and I brought an Artbin for them with magnetic boards and one store had Penny Blacks Buy 2 and get one free how could I resist especially has they were ones I didn't have.
I know I forgot yesterday but I remembered today to draw my Candy.

Remember me saying the card I made for Mo's Blog Hop wasn't the one I had originally made well here's the one I had made.
I've still used one of the 4 Schoolkids although I believe you can buy them separate but this cutie is Berkeley. The papers are from LOTV and so is the sentiment, once again I've use letters cut from my cricut but the flowers are my old favourite punch.
Her outfit isn't qute as bright as this but for some reason my camera has zoomed into the colour. I pretty sure I've used the Friday sketch but I'm not sure now sort of looks like it.
One more week left of September which for me as been exhausting and busy but now I can chill for a bit and relax allow my poor tired body to recover. Not sure if my bones are just tired or they feel a change in the air.

Here's a couple more Stamping Up cards, if you have the ornament punch your probaly know you can make a fish and I so wanted to have a go. But I needed some waves and Stampin Up doesn't have a wave punch so I made mine with a circle punch.
Of course you can use it for the actually use it was made for to punch out an ornament.  I've used the shape later on another card.

Sunday Sketch Mice

Whoo Hoo I made a Penny Black card for Saturday and I've just realised how crooked the image is, hope its only me who notices!
I had these mice coloured for a while and the papers were going to be used on another card then I didn't like them so I used it on this card.
The sketch is Sunday Sketch and Stamp but I'm not sure I'll have time to link it will have to use Sis slowest PC in Hampshire maybe I'll get her to try it on her i pad that she got for her Birthday.
The sentiment is from the latest seasonal catalogue from Stampin Up the stamps though are the hostess set. Selection of snowflakes and a bit of ribbon and of course my favourite border die of the moment from MFT.

Here where I cut on the border to help them round the oval obviously I've only marked it so you see where.
And I love the fact you butt the ends together and therefore don't have to worry about covering the join, also here you can see where I line them up along the oval.
It's always worth to try this technique with your border punches and dies, sometime they work and some don't but where they work so well like this border die its a bonus.
Finger crossed Mr Blogger schedule this post, I know he been misbehaving but hopes he loves me a little bit.

I knew September was going to busy but I didn't realise how busy so unfortunately I can't draw my candy till Sunday so I'll pop over to blue frog to extend it for longer.
At least I've managed to make a card for the Less is More Oval challenge, when Nikki brought my order with this retired stamp which I had to get once I knew it was going I knew exactly what was I was going to do.
Though it was a toss up whether to layer the sails or to bleach them in the end I decided to layer them.
Of course I was only going to make one but while I gave the black ink time to set a bit I layered up the card ready to just place the oval image on. When I came to blending the ink I realised the colour was wrong and it was more Aquamarine than Blue so quickly made up the one below but since the other blue card was ready had to make another this time to match.

So yesterday my Sis and I took my Dad out to Marks and Spencer to get a Jacket and ended up being out all day. Today we off to Sandown for a craft show since our friend Nikki is there for Stampin Up. I know it won't be as good as Ally Pally but I seen exhibitors list won't be a problem spending!
Tomorrow off to MJ for a bit of scrapbooking but in my case I'm making Christmas Cards and I've already packed my bag because I know how tired I will be today when we get back home today.

School Children

It's another month and another Blog Hop for Mo's Dream Team with someone winning a voucher to spend in Mo's shop.

This month Jak is host and the theme is School Children plenty to chose from Mo's designs. I've got All 4 schoolkids so it was kinda hard to chose just one and this wasn't my original card I was going to use but Dundee turned out so well I had to use him first.
The sketch was Sketch and Stash and then things went their own way especially once I made the pinwheels with 3 4cm squares and some brads to hold them in place. I cut out the numbers and letters on the Base Camp cartridge for the Cricut.
Sorry not sure about the papers I'm thinking Echo Park or even MME but they double sided whoever they are.
So if you have Hopped, Skipped and Jumped from Julie and after you commented on my post (you have to post a comment on everyone's blog hop whose in the team to be in for a chance to win a random voucher) you need to hop, skip and jump to Heidy.
And if you're totally lost go to Mo's Dream Team blog which will point you in the right direction for the start of the blog hop.
Oh and a Happy Birthday to my Sister whose 21 yet again!

Emboss It

Do you like my penquins, well thats what I planned, I brought them especially for this challenge a pack of clear Stampendous penquins I thought the shiny black embossed penquins perfect for this weeks dry or heat embossed challenge on Simon Says Stamps Challenge.
Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog

No I haven't lost the plot well maybe a bit, the team is showcasing Stampendous not a requirement for the challenge but to give an idea of some of the manufactures that SSS sell. My penquins are missing don't think they like our wet summer and have cleared off. I've obviously put them in a safe place just wish I could remember where!

So instead I used the Stampendous Jumbo Hollyhocks which came as a shock when it arrived I had obviously missed the word Jumbo whilst ordering. I also used the Romantic Rectangles from Spellbinder, combined the two and I've a large card.
I've heat embossed the Hero Arts Flourish Background with gold embossing on the plain MME papers and used gold card to mat and layer. With a Memory box border die and the Cuttlebug corners to finish, not forgetting a bit of gold ribbon out of my stash, now its finished.

We have a fabulous prize but of course you have to enter the challenge to be in for a chance to win it.
