woyww

I haven't joined in with WOYWW for some time only because I'm a creature of habit and my desk never looks any different from week to week. But today I have to show my new inkpad caddy, I seemed to be collecting stampin up inkpads and they are a pain to sit on top of each other So I asked Hubby for a caddy for my Birthday.
Yes I know I'm downsizing but somehow this will have to fit in wherever I'm going and I did clean up the shelf to put it there but it might not be able to stay there the top gets quite warm from the light.

Just to prove nothing has changed a pic of my desk and you can see some papers I've been using and wished I hadn't but more of that tomorrow.

House card

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog

Its Wednesday, its 2pm, its Simon Says Stamps Challenge
This week its time to GET IN SHAPE

When we showcased the new Exclusive Simon Says Stamps and dies the other week this was my original idea but I knew the Get in Shape challenge was coming soon so I thought I'll wait till now.
Of course when I had this idea I didn't know how big the die was and its suitable to put on card possibly a little small to make a card but I thought it would make a great card to send people your new address when you move but my DD just rolled her eyes at me.
So I used the the Where the Heart is stamp and die set and the lovely Lols sent me a pad of Autumn Spice from Lily Bee. Which was a bit naughty of me because apart from the house all the details can be made with scraps.
To make the card I cut out the house and used it as a template so that it over lapped the edge so there was a fold and the fence help to stand. My notice is a cocktail stick with another door cut and I wrote the sentiment. The flowers are the centre of a flower die and the leaves are the Martha Stewart snowflake cut up.
I've measured it and if you include the fence its 8cms square or 31/4 inches but its so cute.

Don't forget there is a fabulous prize to be won and you just have to make sure you mention the Simon Says Stamps challenge and link to the blog on your Get in Shape card post and of course link your card with the blug frog to win.

CyberCrop Classes

Theres a Cyber Crop over on UKS I think I've already mentioned it well I've been trying to fit in the classes and challenges in between making cards. Since I can't load my Simon Says Stamps Challenge card till 2pm  and I've no spare cards to show I thought I post my pages instead.
The first is Our Story by Iruk and since I haven't brought any special papers I've been using leftovers this was some Crate Paper. Various stamps to make all the sentiments except the rub on in the bottom right corner. I used a Glimmer and splash some watered down ink for the background.

I didn't have a large square punch for this class and decided round the the measurements to 2 inches. Again I've used the leftover of some Bo Bunny papers and sticky labels that came with it. The & is from the Mystery Kit I decided to not colour it or you would lose it in all the colours like the title. Its not crooked thats the photographer and the picture is a scan which why its such awful quality.

Bingo

It's Bingo time at Everybody Art Challenge and I've made quite a few Christmas cards so I decided to skip the column with snow so that left me with Punches, Lace and Gems or diagonally Flowers, Lace and Ribbon which is what a finally decided on.
My Saturated Canary Bride has been coloured for ages and it was time to use her. I used the Floral Oval from Spellbinders which you know I love and is perfect for a Wedding card. I embossed the inside with the heart folder from Cuttlebug and the background is a Sizzix folder.
My favourite lace and a bit of ribbon  to make the card pop. I've used the delicate fern from Memory Box and the white flowers have the pearls attached, I can't remember where I got them from possibly Wild Orchid many months ago.
Do hope you pop over and see the team with their fabulous creations.
I'm well impressed with myself I've done two classes from UKS Cyber Crop and I hope to do another but I've made my LIM cards as well as a card for Friday. Fingers crossed today works out as well, the photos and papers are ready for another class.
Hope everyone on the East Coast USA are keeping safe, I know a teamie as been evacuated and another is holed out in their hotel.

Teacup Fairy

I think I've an obsession with teacups cos this has to be one of my favourite Mo's images,  also I've nearly got all the teacup girls from Stampin Bella, the teapot and cup stamps and die set from MFT and finally had to buy the teacup from Stamping Up.
But Mo's Teacup Fairy I think is first in the queue to be used cos the fairy baby is so cute. I had some papers from Nitwits that I printed out and had some left over so rather than waste it I used the new Friday Sketch. Sneaked in a bit of ribbon and a few extra flowers and that wouldn't be the MFT crochet border die round the circle again.
Didn't get to Hobbycraft was reminded I'm suppose to be downsizing not upsizing my craftroom. Did get one class done on UKS I would have done another but it was getting late and I didn't want to leave it unfinished. So once I tidy up, sorted a few things out I realised I hadn't put my clock back and it wasn't that late after all but I wasn't getting it all out again so hopefully I can do another class today and a card.

Christmas Jumper

I promised Kevin that I would use his fabulous sketch at Sketch and Stash. Do love how they have a sketch and then you put the sentiment and embellishments where you want, I always seemed to not have enough space for a sentiment when using other sketch challenges.
The image is of course Saturated Canary, don't you love her jumper and her glasses which I've use glossy accents on. The papers are Kaiser possible last years discovered I have two packs of them no idea how that happened.
The sentiment is LOTV, the holly is Martha Stewart and the snowflakes are various punches.
Didn't get as much done as I wanted yesterday found out that friends of many years were spreading nasty lies about me guess they're not friends anymore. So I reckon a bit of shopping trip is call for today to cheer me up unfortunately it won't be craft stuff not unless I can get Hubby to divert to Hobbycraft.

Holly and Mistletoe

Yes I do have a Penny Black card this Saturday, I used that gorgeous Holly and Mistletoe stamp. Now I've used silver embossing on a previous card so this time I thought I would use white on Kraft card, think I may have use black on both Kraft and white to see how it turns out now.
I just added some colour with my pencil but it is hard there's not much space that isn't embossed and the pencils do change the colour of the white another reason to use black or brown ink I suppose.
I've been going through some scraps of Christmas paper and found the green and beige papers and thought it would work well with the Kraft they could be Cosmo Cricket but they're old.

The finishing touches I used a gem and pearls and since I stamped two in case I made a mistake I thought I would use it anyway and the red dotty paper just breaks down the Kraft colour. Even though I used a clear sentiment stamp I still managed to stamp it crooked.
I was hoping to join in the Cyber Crop on UKS but because I was unwell I so behind on my cards usually I try to be at least a week in front of any DT obligations but I still haven't made them for next week so thats what I will be doing this weekend but I have made a card for tomorrow if the glossy accents dry, come to think about it I haven't used it yet.

Autumn Leaves

I was detirmined to make a Less is More card but not feeling well or motivated it had to be quick and not too mind boogling. So you can't get more simpler than a Woodgrain embossing folder and stamped and cut out three leaves. Ink them a bit, tie a bit cotton cord and stick them on.
But at least I made a card the first time in what seems ages.
Although I'm still coughing and snotty(too much information) but I've already made a card today so things are definitely looking up.
After all that I forgot to link!!!!!!!

Snow

So here's the other Colour combo, I loved it so much with the baubles I posted early in the week I had to try   it again. Although if I did it again I would make the darker brown a N and the lighter one W and I wasn't keen on the snowflake sentiment.
So this version I used MFT snowflake and I'm back with the Martha Stewart Twine but in a brown and white colour. Works better.
This time I used the Sizzix folder but I think I prefer the Lifestyle one.

This one is with a swiss dots embossing folder and bit of ribbon for a change. Still think the red has more of a WOW factor but hey thats five more cards done.

Joy

Down to my Stampin Up cards left to post although I'm calling them Stamping Up not everything is. The twine for a start is a box of Martha Stewart twine.
The torn paper (I know I torn the paper with my eyes open) I've used the top and the bottom no point in wasting it.
The embossing folder is from Lifestyle, I know Stampin Up does something similar but not sure if it has a perfect spot for a pearl.
The cards were all inspired by this card from Pinterest and its just got change slightly to make it into a Christmas card with what I had in my stash, but at least that another four done and it inspired to make another colour combo which I'll post later.

Cheerleader

Well this cold as taken the stuffing out of me and I'm finding it really hard to make my body to do anything and apart from the Mystery Kit which I've made something but not really impressed by it I haven't done any other crafting and I'm running out of draft posts.
I have this cute Cheerleader from Mo Manning and a couple of Stampin Up posts left. I do love the Cheerleader Gimme a bee and the LOTV papers are a dream to work with.
Usual suspect used my favourite Crochet border die from MFT and my retro flower punch with the Cheery Lyn leaves. The sentiment is LOTV too but I stamp it once with versamark onto matching cardstock and then using black onto white and then cut it out missing the a bit of the border so the colour shows.
We've had a builder to look at the outhouse which houses my craftroom its become more apparent that we need a downstairs loo and in the future I may need walk in shower. But not sure we can afford what we would love to do which is to knock it down and build something a bit bigger. The other alternative is to sort the floor levels out and line the inside since its single brick and turn it into the toilet and shower room but that means finding somewhere else for my craftroom or even if I can have one!
Either way I need to move out for a long time or forever and its no good waiting till last minute so I will be streamlining my craftroom and I will have to be ruthless no hanging onto to stuff that I've had for years just in case I might use!
Is anyone having a problem with blogger dashboard it keeps telling I'm don't follow anyone!

Autumn Leaves

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog

Time for another challenge at Simon Says Stamps Challenge and this week its Autumn Leaves.

This week something a bit different from me no stamping involved but a heck of lot of dies.

I've had to make a list of all the dies so hope you're ready.
Wrought Iron Gate and Fench,  Memory Box
The papers are Kaiser Devonshire and a lot of inking the edges.

Don't forget there is a fabulous prize to be won and you just have to make sure you mention the Simon Says Stamps challenge and link to the blog on your Autumn Leaves card post and of course link your card with the blug frog to win.

Looking for Mo's Dream Team Blog Hop, you will find it HERE

Doodlebug

I pinned these fabulous cards on pinterest and thought I would do something similar but with a sheet of patterned paper and since this sheet of Doodlebug was on my desk I thought it would be cute to use.
Then I discovered that the cards on Pinterest is actually my teamie Joy on Simon Says Stamps.
It was also that time when my Stampin Up order arrived with their new Butterfly punch and love that the matching stamps have an antenna stamp to finish.
I shall be back at 2pm with my Simon Says Stamps Challenge card.

My Bauble Christmas

Whoops I was checking my draft posts to see how many I had so I could work out how long I had to complete the mystery kit but I'm one less now that I pressed publish instead of save!
So this post was some cards I had made for Christmas using the bauble punch unfortunately I realised that it was my Sis who had the other bauble stamps and I only had this one so I had no choice but to use it.
I saw this colour combo on Pinterest not sure they are the right colours but close enough and I think it works.
Of course the embossing folder is Sizzix and more pearls and the twine is some crochet thread I found but its a bit thin so I used two stands.
Oh well back to the mystery kit I think I will get it done today but I need to get off the computer!

Orange and Purple

We have a colour theme over on Everybody Art Challenge this week and its Orange and Purple which conjurers up Halloween and this is my only themed Halloween card.
The papers are from Fancy Pants but they are last years having avoided buying anymore themed paper. I already have a Cuttlebug web folder and as always with Halloween out came the Cricut for my spiders, they're are fun with their wobbly eyes.
My Pumkins I used the George cartridge and the long ovals quite pleased how they turned out. The little image is a CC design but I think she is retired cos I'm sure I brought her in a craft shop sale.
Hope you can join us this week and do pop over to check out the DT.
Its Cyber Crop over on UKS at the weekend and I brought the Mystery Kit didn't realise the weekend I planned to make it I would be unwell so although I've started it through the haze of feeling under the weather I'm now not pleased how its going but feel I'm obligated to finish it. So that is what I will be doing today, that and have a good catch up with all the blog visiting I've missed.

Die cut Trees

Another quick schedule post, I've been waiting for a hospital appointment and they rang on Friday for today first thing in the morning so we will be having to travel through rush hour.
The trees are a die which is so like the Forest Tree from Magnolia but I don't have to cut them out, I also have a modern tree from the same company but do you think I can find them.
I'll pop back later with the details.
Right the embossing folders are Sizzix and Snowfalling from Cuttlebug unfortunately extremely difficult to get hold off. The oval is of course Spellbinders floral oval and a favourite. Now the trees were cut from Dee's Distinctively dies I have the large and small here. I cut them from some white linen card and them just blending some ink from a pad to give them a touch of colour then once layers and set I added loads of glamour dust. My little one is a bit of flop and next time I will use the full small one instead of trying to be clever.
This is the card that I was trying to copy without having to cut out all those layers.
Well there was good news at the hospital and even though I still have to see another specialist to make sure the problem is connected to my arthritis it seems I'm just unlucky now where have I heard that before.!

Raggedy Angel

Oh heck this is a sketch but I've forgotten from where from although I know that my Raggedy Angel is from Mo.
The papers are some old one in my Christmas paper box from Daisy Bucket, the poinsettia are a Marianne die and the snowflake is from Memory box. Hiding behind all the mat is a doily made from a Cheery Lynn die, there's a bit of holly from the same firm. Finished with a touch of lace and some red ribbon and loads of pearls.
Its been a hard few days this cold which is now improving left me exhausted and today I've promised to go to Scrapbuddies crop fingers crossed I make it through the day without falling asleep at my table.
