Birgitta Birthday

Oh for heavens sake what on earth happened to my post I wrote it reverted back to a previous save. Now I have to remember what I wrote.
First of this card was inspired by one of my favourite blogs Where's My Creavitity. The birthday sentiments are from Simon Says Stamps. The card was finished with a bit of twine and some flowersoft with fun flock for her slippers.
I have a lovely quiet Mothers day with a beautiful bouquet delivered from my Son and the next DVD I need for my Bones collection from my Daughter. I then spent a the afternoon watch Saving Mr Banks and of course you had to follow that with Mary Poppins.

Right I'm going to publish this again and go back to link Mary's blog in case it disappears again.

Goodness

I wish I could remember where I saw this sketch unfortunately I thought it would work with my cute Goodness image from Mo Manning now I'm not so sure. But Mo's image saves the day or I should say card.
The papers are left over from a kit and I used the retro flower punch for the flowers otherwise it fairly a quick (for me) and simple card.
Yesterday I went to another crop and pleased to say I've made two layouts well I finished them off when I got home. My a layout a week scrapbooking challenge is doing really well so far and I'm well in advance.

Wishing all those Mum outs there a Happy Mothering Sunday, off to see mine later on.

Mojo Cat

I knew I was using this cat for todays card but when I saw the sketch on Mojo Monday I decided to use for today's card. It was possible it would go terribly wrong but to me it worked.
The papers are Simply Stories possibly Say Cheese but once again don't hold me to it.
My fishtail flags and sentiment strip is using a square punch and some twine to finish.

The trouble with busy papers and the possibility of sending this card to a chap that you are limited to what embellishments to put on and in this case less is more!

Puter James

I do love Lily of Valley James the bear not just because he works so well in PB mouse colours. This image of James is so cute and would work for both sexes (pink laptop) but for today I think he would work for male card.
The papers are LOTV and the sketch is Sketch Saturday but I've added the scallop strip and twine to have something for my bear to sit on.

The two main mats have had two corners rounds to give them a bit more interest. Makes a change to use a blue card rather than white but it makes it a bit more masculine.

Cased the Card

I absolutely love the striking, fabulous card by Lisa from I'm in Haven and the Simon Says Stamps Balloons die had just arrived to my little craft corner.
This is a brilliant way to use up scraps the only real difference from Lisa's card is I wanted clouds but the camera hasn't picked up the blue very well. I also used the Tilted Banners die and sentiment set for the sentiment.
The colours I don't think are quite the same because I did use scraps and it was what I had plus I have more balloons since the dk pink one got a big blob of glue on that would leave a watermark so the yellow balloon is in strategic place. It no way has good as Lisa's but it was fun trying.

Take 3

When I had a class with my Stampin Up Demo and friend Nikki the cost including the stamp set and although I wasn't keen on the flowers I do like watercolours patch stamp. (Since the class the whole set has grown on me.
It did mean that when I saw the Less is More Challenge was for Take 3 I wanted to use my new stamp set.
So I stamped 3 times with the patch stamp with two colours the middle one was stamped on a scrap first to take of some of the colour.
Then I used the Stampin Up Butterflies, with them made three Butterflies. In hindsight I should have made another white mat to give the card more definition. Never mind I finished of with a bit twine I had left over from the class and the tags are the retired tiny tag punch with my dodgy writing.

SN Roundel - Main RoundelCrafter's Companion

Ok I've just realised what I've done spot the button yep I forgot, had it in my head it was Anything goes and my brain omit reading the button bit.
Oh well it would be a shame not to show my cards especially has Crafters Companion very kindly sent it to me, it is Frou Frou Love Letters. I had a fab time added bits to the main mat like the window and the chandelier you don't have to use them and just use the main image.
The also sent us some Spectrum Noir pens Pale Hues and Pinks now if you are a long term follower of my blog you would know I don't use pens not because I don't know how, I did a copic day workshop many moons ago.
I've used Promarkers and Copics so I was intrigued to see how the Spectrum Noir pens work. First of I like that with the sets you have all the colours you need for shading but unfortunately my main reason I don't use pens is the lids are too hard for me to pull off constantly.  This is because of my arthritis not because theres something wrong with the pens. I found that they are just as good as their dearer counterparts and work in exactly the same way. The whole of my image was coloured just using the two packs.
The papers I've used are Fresh Cuts from Basic Grey and my sentiment doily are some new Spellbinders that recently arrived from SSS called Stately Circles.  Oh I added some glitter using the Wink of Stella clear pen.

So now it's YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

CAS(E) This Sketch

I cased this sketch literally for the CAS(E) this sketch #69 it was a case of I have the Spellbinders Corner Flourish die and I was going to use it. I cut the corners out four times in white and twice in the Simon Says Stamps Surf Blue cardstock. I stuck to white together at this point I decided I like it white on white but I had cut out the blue one so I decided to keep to the plan.
I was going to stamp the large birthday sentiment from the Birthday Balloon set but it didn't fit so I used the Happy Birthday die instead and back with matching cardstock but I had add the loops cos thats the way I like it.

You are so Beautiful

Its week 13 of my scrapbook layout a week and I've several weeks booked so for the new few weeks I can concentrate on topping up the drafts with cards. Although some of layouts when I look back I'm not so sure about them but this one I'm happy with.
It was inspired by one on Pinterest for the lacing. The papers are Echo Park or Carta Bella and I've only really two pieces the rest is in white.
Favourite flower and leaves dies, Fresh Foliage and the Fern from Memory Box and the Upsy Daisy from MFT.
My butterfly is the Leanna die from Simon Says Stamps and is backed with the Chrissy die but I drew a swirl and then followed the line with some pearls. I didn't want to use a funny title or use The Hen since it was her Hen do so I used the word dies from SSS which basically says it all.

Little Bear

Time for another challenge on Everybody Art Challenge this week is a sketch and for my mats I used the Spellbinders Corner Flourish. I put two together to make a square, also I cheated a bit on of my flourish mats are above the strip rather than below it but I thought it worked better in this case especially has I think my strip is a bit of the wide side.
The adorable image is from LOTV and now I realise that the dotty strip on the balloon I meant to white dot it with a pen. Of course I paper pieced the balloon it does cry out for this to be done. Papers are also from LOTV too

To see the sketch pop over to the challenge blog while you are there check out the fabulous team.

Fairy Needle

I think Mr Mojo had a brief visit cos I love how this card turned out using the The Sketchy Challenge latest sketch.
The papers are the last bits of a First Edition pack and of course this adorable image is Fairy Needle from Mo Manning.
My thread spool is from Memory Box and I used Fresh Foliage with the large fern dies from them too. I finally found my tins of roses. Lace and ribbon to finish.

On this photo you can just about see the Wink of Stella glitter pen on her wings.

Man's Birthday

I need to increase my mens cards and although I practically had everything out to make this card I do like how it ended up.
I used the Stampin Up Rev Up the Fun and the papers are from there too along with the Gorgeous Grunge set to make the dotty grungy on the edge.
The postcard stamp is from Lily of the Family and the cogs came from the stall at a craft show, the sentiment is Penny Black.
It now has 30 on it and has be taken by DD so I'm still short on mens cards.

Penny Black Lilies

My Mother's day cards are now done, the last one is using the Penny Black Lily cling stamp that I've had for a while not sure its been used befor now.
The sketch started as Sweet Sketch Wednesday but the sentiment and ribbon isn't correctly placed so I won't enter but I do love it gave me a starting point.
The papers are Graphic 45 and I wouldn't normally just add strip of different colours but it works I think.
Although the stamp was for one Lily I stamped and coloured another so it could fall of the circle. Favourite border die from MFT and the LOTV sentiment to finish.

No scrapbooking crops or retreats to today so I'm just going to make cards, catch up with some DT work, with a bit of luck I'll have some for my drafts post and I won't feel under pressure.
Not what sure happened here but Mr Blogger put this post in drafts instead of publishing or could it have been me having yet another senior moment.

Mojo Monday

I thought I better schedule this its a bit of a rush on Fridays with myself off to swimming club this morning.  My card is inspired my this weeks Mojo Monday sketch but I've replaced one of the mats with the large leaves die from Simon Says Stamps but it has be chopped about to make it fit where I like it to go.
The papers were floating around my desk waiting for somewhere to go but I love this paper and I wanted to use it.
The Happy and Birthday sentiment are both from Simon Says Stamps and the background is using a large woodgrain stamp but even them I had to stamp it twice with the join hiding under the floral mat.
Of course the daisy is Upsy Daisy die from MFT.

I'm still hoping to make cards to add to the drafts for bad days but things seemed to be getting in the way. After swimming I'm framing a cross-stitch my daughter has done. Also I'm out tonight as my Stampin Up friend Nikki is doing classes at her flat and my sister and I have invited ourselves.

Its been a While

Its been a bit quiet on the conversion of a single bricked outhouse to my mini wet room and tiny craft space. The tacker has been and it was plaster boarded. Special plaster board for the wet room

Normal stuff for the craft space

A path and a bit more added to the drive all one level so no trip hazards

The plumber has recently been to sort out the radiators to help dry the floor and do I see plugs.

And lights.

The towel rail works but has been sealed off till the the Tiler's been but we still waiting for the floor to dry its worst than waiting for paint to dry.

Fly a Kite

Poor chap has been sitting in a draw waiting patiently to be turned into a card. The chap in question is a Mo Manning image called Kite.
I'm pretty sure I've used the Sketch Saturday sketch or at least that what I started with and this is what turned out.
The papers are Pebbles and are pretty busy and the white card has been embossed with some dotty clouds which hasn't photograph that well.
To be honest he is a bit CAS with just the Memory Box dies to decorate but I didn't think flowers would work.
